2. Meeting on “The Finance Bill 2006” to be addressed by Mr. Bansi S. Mehta, former president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, at 5.30 p.m., on Monday, 6th March 2006, at the CCI East Lawns, Churchgate, Mumbai 400 020, under the auspices of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (WIRC).

Discussion Session on “The Finance Bill 2006”

The Forum of Free Enterprise has arranged a discussion session to analyse and dicuss implications on trade and industry of important direct and indirect-tax provisions in the “Finance Bill 2006” on Friday, 10th March 2006, in South Mumbai.  A very eminent panel of experts will deal with such provisions.  The session will be beneficial to Tax, Finance and Legal Executives, Chartered Accountants, Advocates nd others.  The panel: Mr. Dinesh Vyas, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India; Mr. Dadi B. Engineer, Solicitor & Advocate; & Mrs. Bhavna Doshi, Chartered Accountant.  Details may be had from the Forum.

GOLDEN JUBILEE LECTURES

To mark Forum’s Golden Jubilee a series of Lectures will be delivered by eminent persons. The First Lecture was delivered by Dr. Raghuraman G. Rajan, Chief Economist, IMF, on 20th January 2006.

The Second Lecture will be delivered by Dr. Karan F. Bilimoria CBEDL, widely acclaimed industrialist of U.K., on “Asians in the West in the Globalised World” at 6.15 p.m. on Friday, 24th March 2006, at the Seth Walchand Hirachand Hall, Indian Merchants’ Chamber, Churchgate, 76 Veer Nariman Road, Mumbai 400 020.
