NANI A. PALKHIVALA MEMORIAL TRUST

The origin

After Nani A. Palkhivala passed away on 11th December 2002, his close associate Mr. M.R. Pai, who was also ailing at that time, prepared a note from his hospital bed proposing that a Trust be established to perpetuate the memory of Nani Palkhivala. Mr. Pai’s note was discussed at a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the A.D. Shroff Memorial Trust on 6th August 2003. (The late Nani Palkhivala was Founder-Chairman of the Trust till his demise. Mr. Pai was initially the Trust’s Hon. Secretary and later a Trustee until his demise on 3rd July 2003). Mr. Minoo R. Shroff, Chairman, was in the Chair.
